Meet the owners!

Hi, we’re Bryan and Prudy Kloss, the new owners of Head of the Lakes Resort as of February 2026.

Like many people who visit here, we fell in love with this place pretty quickly. Not just because of the lake or the cabins, but because of the people and the stories that live here.

Head of the Lakes has a history that means a lot to this community. Before us, Tony and Maranda built something special here and created the welcoming atmosphere so many of you know and love today. And before them, Mel and Bonnie took a property transformed it into the beautiful resort it became. Around here we’ve already heard plenty of stories about the work and heart they put into this place.

We feel incredibly honored to follow in their footsteps, they clearly leave big shoes to fill!

This resort belongs just as much to the people who return here year after year as it does to the people who own it.

Our goal is simple, take care of what has been built, keep improving things thoughtfully, and make sure Head of the Lakes Resort continues to be a place where people feel at home.

Since stepping into resort life, we’ve learned that every day brings something new. There’s always something to fix, someone new to meet, and usually a few good stories by the end of the night.

Bryan will often be fixing things, helping someone with a boat or fish house, or talking about the weather and fishing. Prudy will often be organizing projects, planning improvements, or chatting with guests. And sometimes you’ll find both of us, taking your food orders, cooking in the kitchen, or serving you from behind the bar.

We’re grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received and for the chance to be part of something that clearly means a lot to so many people.

Whether you’ve been coming here for decades or you’re visiting for the first time, we’re glad you’re here.

Welcome to the next chapter of Head of the Lakes Resort.
